This modern home interior design style emerged from the idea of remodeling / reconstruction of a monotony house located in Van Phu which was an urban area in the city of Hanoi, Vietnam. The house had a narrow circulation space and minimal light. Vietnamese architect team of the AHL Associates Architects with members Chu Son, Tuan Anh Mai, Hieu Hoang, Nghia Mai, Hung Dao, Tung Nguyen, TrucAnh Nguyen transformed the house into a home that was more comfortable, spacious and optimizing natural light through the atrium installation.
Modern home interior design in Vietnam had a typical house design that resembles a 'tube houses', i.e. a house tends to narrow aisle and indented. The house mostly did not have a lighting system and good ventilation so that air circulation washout and dark because it had a few windows. Spaces were too simple and minimalist, there was a ladder located near the toilet. Near the toilets, there were two rooms on the left and right.
Project architect who worked on Vietnam from AHL Team Associates Architects was done based on client requests that did not want a monotonous space and made it stylish. Description of modern home interior design project they were as follows:
1.Stairs Design
The project started with a team of architects relocate staircase from the middle of the room to the side and attached it to the wall. In order to get a little light at ladder area, the team added skylights at the top roof of the stairs. Modern home interior design nowadays always uses a special design to bring natural light into the house, so the room remains bright during the day without lamp. Because the ladder is attached to the side wall, the house seems more spacious. Having relocated, the stair case converted into a slick design that does not look plain and monotonous. Rung redesigned so that each step has a regular pattern and given a coating to make it look shiny and perfectly reflects natural light. Along the walls, white tiles were placed to give texture to the wall to avoid plain look.
2.Space Design

Behind the relocated stairs, there was a small kitchen. Upstairs, there was a living room. The living room was made as comfortable as possible by using the warm color that reflects gentle warmth of family. Bedroomswere moved to the second, third and fourth floor. The top floor wasconverted into area of family worship, and at the outside there was an outdoor terrace on the roof of the building with a modern style.
3.Strategic Design

It creates wider passing area for the occupants. The existence of an atrium in the middle of the house creates a natural lighting without adding extra windows. This modern home interior design also reinforces the relationship between horizontal and vertical dimensions of the house. Therefore, there was no more impression of a long house and protrudes into the aisle like a tube. The house was completed in 2012 and reconstructed at a cost of $ 112,000.
In general, the renovation project by architect team of Vietnam is quite easy, in which the architect was only dealing with the 2 car garage, a kitchen, a bedroom for grandma, living room on the second floor, the master bedroom on the third floor, and tiny living room, rooftop terrace, and a worship area on the fourth floor.
